Pockets of Light in the Darkness: riding with Michael Farris Smith

Pockets of Light in the Darkness: Michael Farris Smith

We ride today with author and musician Michael Farris Smith. This is a spirited ride with a Southern gentleman, who explores the grit and challenges that lead one to change, and possible redemption. Our ride with MFS was recorded just before the release of his eighth novel, Lay Your Armor Down—and just after his directorial debut with Chasing Rabbits. Two of his novels were also made into movies with stars Mel Gibson and Aaron Eckhart.

Lay Your Armor Down, “charts the course of several broken people, all outrunning danger’s dark fingers, and all brought together for one last chance at redemption.” Our time with MFS shined a bright light on the humanity and depth from which he lives that fuels the creative fires that bring such intriguing plots and characters to life. We hope this is just the beginning of many rides with this gentleman.

“Little pockets of light shine very bright when they appear, because of the darkness.”

This ride is a true pleasure!
